Lets start off easy, in today's blog i will be sharing tips on how to discover the vibrant city of Belfast in the North of Ireland. Popular among students and tourists alike Belfast has much to offer and is very achievable on a budget, with two main airports as well as a newly developed bus and train station, transport to and around the city has never been easier.

Belfast has a rich tapestry of cuisines, celebrating the city’s strong multicultural identity but also inviting locals and visitors alike to embark on a delicious culinary journey. From traditional Irish dishes to international flavours, the city offers an incredible array of dining options that cater to every palate so while you are here on your city break a taste of home is never far away.

- Little wings pizzeria, Naples style pizzeria in the heart of Belfast, Little wings has over 10 restaurants based in the North of Ireland. You can find Little Wings on Anne's street. Little wings offer 20% off for students on their lunchtime menu.

- Boojum, this popular Mexican burrito bar needs no introduction. As locals we rack quite a tab at this restaurant but what you may not know is through downloading the app you qualify for a free Boojum after your ninth (1 free boojum every 9 days, sounds good to me) 

- Lucky duck Chinese, This Chinese restaurant/ cocktail bar offers free Chinese food every Friday. All you need to do is sign up to their mailing list once you have done this they will email out bookings so be quick to secure your spot because they don't stay available long!

Things To Experience

- Ulster Museum, Entry to the museum is free. During your trip to the museum you will take a dive into the rich history of Ireland, experience collections of the arts and natural sciences. Set within the beautiful surroundings of Belfast's botanical gardens this is a must see spot.

Hop on Hop off tour, From £20 experience all Belfast has to offer, historical spots including city hall, St George's markets, the Falls road murals and Peace walls. with onboard audio commentary and no cancellation fee this is perfect for tourists. The tour allows passengers to hop on and off at any of the 19 stops along the way, so if something peaks your interest hop off and explore some more.

Things to Entertain 

- Belfast Giants, Come see the Stena Line Belfast Giants ice hockey team at the SSE Arena. Tickets start from £20.50 this is an affordable activity for students and tourists. The SSE Arena is accessible through Car, bus and glider and with a ylink card students receive 50% of travel by bus and glider 

Grand Opera House, The grand opera house is the North or Ireland's premier theatre with a wide range of entertainment from drama to comedy upon visiting Belfast tourists should definitely check out what it has to offer. Grand opera house also offers a stand-up-rate for seniors and students on selected shows. this discounted rate is accessible from 6 PM on the show's scheduled evening.
